For most applications, the recommended operating speed is 3,000-18,000 RPM (5,000 RPM for woodworking). Lower speeds offer a softer touch and more subtle results, while higher speeds provide more aggressive material removal. To maximize disc life, use the tips of the bristles with light pressure.
